The CQ Press City Crime Rankings just came out for 2010 and once again the City of Orem is in the top 10. We ranked the #8th safest city with a population of 75,000-99,999 and 11th overall. We are the only Utah city in the top 10 of all populations.

We have been getting a lot of theft reports at Gold’s Gym.  Patrons will go work out and leave their valuables/keys in an unsecured cubby hole or locker.  This has always been a problem and has started to resurface.Â

Caleb Castranda was arrested yesterday after he threatened some local residents with a gun. He was suspected of stealing the gun just two days earlier. Caleb was found at a local gas station and arrested.
The gun was recovered in a field near the victim’s home.
